Answer: The easiest way to learn the ropes is to watch our 2-minute Quick Start Video on YouTube. It shows you exactly how to trigger the audio and navigate the map so you don’t miss a single highlight!
Answer: Yes! You can connect your phone to your vehicle via USB cable or Bluetooth. Please note that while we are working on future updates, the app does not currently support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto interfaces.
Answer: The app relies entirely on GPS location to trigger the stories at the right time. Please ensure that "Location Services" are set to "Always Allow" in your phone settings, otherwise, the app won't know when you've reached a tour stop.
Answer: We highly recommend downloading the tour over Wi-Fi before you head out. Many of the best spots in Alaska have spotty reception, and downloading ahead of time ensures the GPS triggers and audio work perfectly even when you're offline.
Answer: Our tours are designed to in the major destination city, like Anchorage or Seward, rather than in between those destinations. However, you can join the route at any point! The GPS will recognize your location and pick up the story at the nearest tour stop.
Answer: Don’t worry! If you miss a stop or take a detour, the audio will simply wait until you reach the next designated "trigger point" on the map. You can also manually play any track from the menu if you want to hear a story you missed.
